Corporate Actions
All types of corporate actions that effect the affiliated shares/other financial instruments of a company should be handled by Euroclear Sweden. If, for example, a change is made in the number of shares due to an issuance or reduction, or if the shares are divided into additional share types and sorts, this should be reported to us.Note that we always need to be informed of a corporate action relating to any affiliated financial instrument prior to any relevant record date. The information is to be given either by the company/entity that is the issuer of the financial instruments, or by the appointed issuer agent (read more about issuer agents below).

For certain corporate actions an issuer agent needs to be appointed and involved in the processing of e.g. subscriptions in a rights issue. In general, an issuer agent needs to be appointed both regarding affiliation of financial instruments and also for election handling regarding either voluntary or mandatory corporate actions with options.
