Managing register of owners
Euroclear Sweden handles the register of shareholders for shares/other financial instruments affiliated to our system. The register of shareholders is updated as soon as a trade or a transfer is registered and entered in the system via a bank/securities institution. As an issuer you can order information about your shareholders via our Internet based service, go to Log on at the top right hand of this page.Examples of register of owners that can be ordered:

Registration types
Holdings in shares may either be direct-registered in the name of the owner (owner-registered) or nominee-registered. When direct registered, the investor has the securities holdings registered in their own VP account in their own name. Such a VP account is known as an owner account and can contain several different types of security. An investor may also choose to have his or her holdings in custody at a bank/securities institution. The custodian has, in turn, a ‘nominee account’ at Euroclear Sweden where all the holdings of the custody customer are held.
