In addition to serving a large number of CSD-registered entities and maintaining the shareholders register, Euroclear Sweden offers affiliation of a large range of other financial instruments and securities.Euroclear Sweden maintains registers for:
- Interest bearing loans
- Discount notes
- Structured Products
- Warrants
- Certificates
The process of affiliating these types of securities differs from security to security and from the process of affiliating shares. The process is as follows: The issuer submits the terms applicable to the securities to be issued. The terms are examined by Euroclear Sweden from an operative and legal point of view. All securities must fit within the Euroclear Sweden VPC system framework. This applies to all stages of the issuance, that is to say the issue, clearing and settlement to exercise or redemption. Euroclear also verifies that the terms are formulated in such a way that they comply with the laws, ordinances, rules and regulations that govern the business.
When Euroclear, together with the issuer, have ascertained that the securities fulfil the demands an agreement is signed for a number of issues. Alternatively a separate agreement is signed for each issue. This can differ depending on whether the instrument is issued under one program or not.
