Giving out information to authorities
According to Book-entry system Act 29 a §, Euroclear Finland Ltd has an obligation to give out information of book-entry accounts to authorities.At least the following authorities has a right to get information of book-entry accounts:
- preliminary investigation- and prosecutor authorities, information must be given also to prevent crimes
- Bank of Finland, to discharge its legal duties
- execution authorities
- social authorities
- custodial authorities
- Social Insurance Institution
- court of justice
- tax authority
- Financial Inspection
- bankruptcy authorities
The right to have information must be based on law.
Account Operator Services replies in writing to enquiries sent by different authorities, information is not given on the phone. Private customers´ enquiries are not replied. Account Operator Services do not attend conversion of executed book-entries.
