SWIFT

Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications
Since 1998 Euroclear Finland Ltd has been a sub member of the SWIFT. SWIFT is a co-operative society owned by banks offering secure messaging services and related user-interface software to more than 7000 clients in the financial sector in more than 200 countries.

In Euroclear Finland SWIFT is currently used for reporting cross border security transfers and corporate actions between Euroclear Finland and foreign CSD's as well as for transmitting TARGET payments. SWIFT is also used in clearing and settlement system HEXClear for cash management.
