Services in Sweden

In its role as central securities depository it is part of Euroclear Sweden’s responsibilities to assign an ISIN number to all Swedish financial instruments (even non-affiliated securities) and to make available to the general public the public register of shareholders for all affiliated companies.

Euroclear Sweden assigns an ISIN number to all Swedish financial instruments
All securities in the Euroclear Sweden system are assigned a unique ISIN number (International Securities Identification Number). The ISIN number is constructed according to the international ISO standard and consists of a country code, serial number and check digit, such as SE0000123456, for example.

Euroclear Sweden is the number assignor for Swedish financial instruments (National Number Agency), and produces lists of assigned ISIN numbers for both Euroclear Sweden-affiliated and non-affiliated Swedish securities.

Public register of shareholders and public nominee list of owners
Euroclear Sweden is responsible for the printout of the public register of shareholders and public nominee list of owners. The printout may not be more than three months old and must contain details of shareholders that have more than five hundred shares in the issuing company. Euroclear Sweden produces the public register of shareholders and the public nominee list of owners four times a year, on the last banking day in March, June, September and December. The public register of shareholders/nominee list of owners must be made available to the general public at both Euroclear Sweden and the Issuer.

The public is entitled to order a public register of shareholders upon payment of a fee. The Issuer is informed of this when it is produced.

A copy of a previously produced register of shareholders can be made during a certain period after the above date.
